3% open
The most private of the screen fabrics. Limited view-through. Right for ground-floor street-facing windows where privacy matters and the view is not the feature.
5% open (the default)
The Gulf-front living-room standard. Cuts roughly 50 percent of solar gain while preserving the view through the fabric. Hunter Douglas Designer Screen 5 percent is our most-spec'd fabric on the Panhandle.
10% open
More open feel, slightly less privacy, more view. Right for second-floor great rooms with no privacy concern and homeowners who want the most transparent fabric option.
Designer Blackout
The bedroom standard. 100 percent light block when fully down. Pair with a Designer Screen in front for daytime light control and the blackout behind for sleep.
Mildew-resistant fabrics
Standard on bath and kitchen specs. Hunter Douglas Designer Screen and Graber roller MR fabrics resist mildew on the bottom rail in steam-heavy rooms.
Dual-roller stack
A common Panhandle bedroom spec. Designer Screen in front, Designer Blackout behind. Both motorized so the scene controller handles day-to-night transition automatically.
