2" Faux Wood Blinds
The Pace workhorse. Humidity-stable, sturdy, paints and stains true to grain. Right for kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, and most living areas in Stonebrook and the Highway 90 corridor.

Custom-built, humidity-stable
Faux wood, roller, cellular, and motorized blinds for Pea Ridge, Floridatown, the Stonebrook subdivisions, and the Highway 90 corridor. Built to your opening, installed in a single visit.
Now serving Santa Rosa County
Pace sits a few miles north of Pensacola Bay along Highway 90, sandwiched between Milton to the east and the I-10 corridor to the south. The build stock is mostly 1990s through 2010s ranch and two-story subdivision: Stonebrook, the Highway 90 corridor traditionals, Pea Ridge ranches, and the older Floridatown stock that runs down toward Escambia Bay. Most homes have a mix of double-hung windows, sliding-glass doors to a screened patio, and a few transoms. The blind question is rarely one type; it is which type for which room.
Faux wood in 2 inch slats covers most of a Pace house. Humidity in this part of Santa Rosa County runs 60 to 80 percent indoors year-round, and real wood blinds bow inside three years in a laundry room or full bath. Faux wood does not bow. Cellular and roller shades take over in bedrooms where light control matters most. Vertical blinds suit the sliding-glass doors on patios and bonus rooms. Vertical blinds with a wand control beat string-pull for tall doors. Where you want app or voice control, we motorize the roller shades with Lutron or Somfy.
Standard lead time is 2 to 4 weeks from consult to install. Motorized adds 1 to 2 weeks. Most Pace installs finish in a single day. Schedule the in-home measure and we will walk every opening with you and quote the same day.
The lines we install

The Pace workhorse. Humidity-stable, sturdy, paints and stains true to grain. Right for kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, and most living areas in Stonebrook and the Highway 90 corridor.

Light control and energy savings. Hunter Douglas Designer Screen rollers, Sonnette cellular, and Graber cellular lines. Lifetime warranty on the lift. Motorizes cleanly with Lutron or Somfy.

The right call for sliding glass doors out to a screened patio. Wand control, easy to live with, kid-safe. We carry fabric, vinyl, and faux wood vertical lines.
What Pace blinds actually need
Pace humidity hits 75 percent indoors during summer. Real wood blinds in a laundry room bow inside three years. We default to faux wood for kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, and bonus rooms; we only spec real wood blinds in lower-humidity living rooms where the homeowner specifically wants the look. Both stain and paint true.
Pace homes almost all have a sliding-glass door out to a screened patio. String-pull verticals tangle in the heat and pull the cord toward the kids. We spec wand-control or motorized verticals on every sliding-door application. Kid-safe, dog-safe, easier to live with.
A 5 percent open Designer Screen during the day, blackout liner behind it for sleep. Two-shade roller stacks pair nicely with most Pace bedroom trims. Add a Lutron RF motor and you have a 6:30 AM rise scheduled to your sleep window.
Hunter Douglas Sonnette and Graber cellular shades trap an insulating air pocket that cuts solar gain by 40 to 60 percent. On west-facing Pace windows, that is the difference between a 78-degree thermostat staying ahead of the sun and the AC running flat-out all afternoon.
Once the material is in our warehouse, a Pace ranch with 12 to 16 openings is a single-day install with a two-person crew. We measure, build a punch list, and finish the same day. Bigger homes or motorized installs are sometimes two visits.
If you have plantation shutters in some rooms and want blinds in others, we match the cord color, valance profile, and louver-versus-slat sightline so the house reads as one design intent. See our plantation shutter Pensacola page for shutter context across the bay.
