Our story
A coastal shop with inland-craftsman roots.
Payless Blinds and Shutters was founded in 1996 by Ray. The original shop ran out of Douglasville, Georgia; the Florida arm spun up to handle the Panhandle's salt-air reality without compromising the family-shop pace. Twenty-nine years later the catalog is broader, the crew is wider, and the brass measuring tape is the same one.
Florida is its own work. We carry plantation shutters in basswood and composite, hardwood blinds for the inland builds, faux wood blinds and Roman shades for humid kitchens and baths, vertical blinds for sliding doors that catch every Pensacola Bay sunset, and motorized systems on Lutron, Somfy, and Alpha Tubular for the condo corridor. The catalog is broad because the calls are broad: a North Hill couple swapping 1990s mini-blinds calls the same number a Crystal Beach vacation-rental owner calls when it is time to refresh the rental.
