The project
Cordova, Pensacola.
A Cordova mid-century ranch with a full-room window-treatment refresh. The previous treatment was 1990s vinyl mini-blinds in every opening, taped at the headers where the brackets had failed. We replaced the entire room with basswood plantation shutters, 3.5 inch louvers, white finish; install was split across two visits to accommodate the homeowners' work schedule.

Six openings replaced; every measurement re-taken since the original 1960s framing had drifted out of square.
3.5 inch louvers, hidden tilt rod
Sized to the mid-century scale; hidden tilt rod modernizes the look.
Split install across two visits
Three openings on visit one, three on visit two, to fit the homeowners' work-from-home schedule.
