Arched Plantation Shutters in a Pensacola Formal Dining Room

About this project

The homeowners had inherited a beautiful Pensacola dining room with three large arched windows -- and three sets of dated heavy fabric drapes that fought the chandelier and made the space feel dim. We measured the arches, fabricated 3.5 inch louver poly shutters in white, and used sunburst-pattern tops to follow the curve of each arch. The transformation gives the space refined Florida light all day, and the louvers tilt for sun control during late-afternoon glare.
