The project
Crystal Beach, Destin.
A Crystal Beach guest bedroom on a raised dune-front home. The previous owner had wood blinds that had warped from the salt air within three seasons. We replaced them with salt-air rated faux wood blinds, 2.5 inch louvers, sized for the raised dune-front window dimensions. The faux wood holds its finish in the corrosive coastal environment, and the room-darkening tilt blocks the bright western light off the dunes.
