The project
Spring Hill, Mobile.
A Spring Hill mid-century home with a 96 inch slider opening to a screened porch. The previous treatment was plastic verticals that had warped in the Mobile humidity. We replaced them with gray-toned fabric verticals, pleated panels, returned valance.
What we installed
Three details that made the install.
Gray-toned fabric vertical blinds
Soft fabric that picks up the mid-century palette; gray reads contemporary against the existing trim.
Returned valance
Valance turned 90 degrees and finished against the wall; eliminates the gap typical of plastic verticals.
Center-draw cord
Single pull from the center; matches the homeowner's preferred operating side.
